From 2002-2006 German based gallerist Michael Janssen in collaboration with New York based gallerist Leo Koenig operated The Happy Lion Gallery in Los Angeles’ Chinatown art district. During Its run the gallery present exhibitions that included Tony Matelli, Frank Benson, Meg Cranston, Elliott Hundley, Matt Johnson, Diana Al-Hadid, Gert & Uwe Tobias, Monique Van Genderen, Enoc Perez, and Thaddeus Strode.
